Do's and Dont's for International Student.

DO's :--------------------------

Do Familiarize yourself with the local culture, customs and norms. Make an effort to learn the local language, if possible. Reach out and make friends with both locals and other international students. Manage your finances wisely and stick to a budget. Do stay organized with your paperwork, including Visa, Passport and academic documents. Do take advantage resources and support services offered by your university or college. Do Prioritize your Health and well-being, both physically and mentally. Do explore the new city or country you're in and embrace new experiences. Communicate openly with your professors or advisors if you're facing challenges academically or otherwise. Stay informed about your rights and responsibilities as an international student. 

 

DONT'S:------------------------

Don't isolate yourself from the local community or only socialize within your own cultural group. Don't Ignore your studies or academic responsibilites in favor of social activities. Don't disregard local laws or regulations, especially regarding visas and immigration. Don't hesitate to ask for help or support when you need it, whether it's academic, personal or cultural. Don;t assume that everyone will speak English or understand your cultural background. Don't forget to keep in touch with family and friends back home, but also make an effort to fully engage in your new environment. Don't neglect your physical and mental health. Seek help if you're struggling. Procrastinate on important tasks, such as renewing your visa or completing paperwork for residency. Don't be afraid to try new things or step out of your comfort zone. Don't let homesickness or culture shock prevent you from fully enjoying your international experience.
